Background

Pastor Otis, whom we met in 2015, invited Time to Revive to help equip the church in Back of the Yards and Englewood from June 9-14, 2025.

We will gather daily under a tent at 5230 S Halsted St, Chicago, IL, for prayer, worship, training, and outreach. Check out the schedule for the week.

Outreach

Each day will start with prayer and worship followed by a free community breakfast. Then, we will train and equip both locals and out-of-towners on ways to engage with the community and share the Gospel.

Texans on Mission (formerly Texas Baptist Men) will join us on-site to cook meals for the community and our volunteers.

Discipleship

Along with evangelism, we will emphasize the value of disciple-making. We are asking the Lord to provide 385 leaders
willing to disciple three or more individuals for a year, forming 385 discipleship groups. These groups will be given brand-new Nike shoes that were donated (pending the size and availability). Providing the shoes is a physical and spiritual act of equipping their feet with the Gospel, which empowers them to impact the neighborhoods of Chicago. Volunteer

There are three ways to volunteer.

1. Help with discipleship training and shoe distribution Tuesday through Saturday.
2. Help serve food – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – each day with Texans on Mission.
3. Be trained to go into the community to pray with people and share the Gospel.
