How It Works

How Time to Revive Works

Time to Revive is invited by churches, individuals, and organizations across the world to host outreach gatherings. Our framework for these gatherings follows Paul’s example in 1 Thessalonians 1:4-10: Model, Assist, Watch, Leave. First, we model how to share the Gospel, assist fellow believers in replicating this model, watch and affirm, and then we leave—trusting the Holy Spirit in our partners to sustain the momentum.

Time to Revive welcomes invitations from anyone who feels called to spark revival in their community. Once invited, Time to Revive team members travel to the city to meet personally with key stakeholders. More than scouting for locations or resources, the Time to Revive team looks for three key markers of preparedness for revival: humility, hunger, and unity.

If humility, hunger, and unity are present in the local church, the Time to Revive team will proceed with a series of prep trips. In the months leading up to the outreach, team members visit the community to build relationships with leaders in churches, government, healthcare, and other areas of influence, spreading the word about the outreach while also learning how to engage with the culture, ensuring Time to Revive is well-prepared to train the locals.

Volunteers and local churches join Time to Revive, gathering each morning for prayer, worship, and evangelism training. Small teams then share the Gospel on the streets, offering baptisms and discipleship connections for new believers through the local church. In the evening, Time to Revive provides teaching and teams share testimonies from the day. Outreaches typically last 3-5 days but they have gone as long as 52 days.

Word about Time to Revive spreads organically as participants bring the experience to new communities, leading to invitations in other cities. Beyond replicating gatherings, Time to Revive focuses on sustaining evangelism, offering resources to help people stay connected and keep sharing the Gospel in daily life.

Where We Work

Our Approach

Jesus modeled a simple pattern during His earthly ministry: He loved, listened, discerned, and responded as led by the Holy Spirit. As we equip believers to share the Gospel, we strive to follow His example.

Love

Love for the individual comes first, recognizing them as a beloved child of God. Conversations often start with the simple question, “How can I pray for you?”

“And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for everyone, just as we also do for you.” 1 Thessalonians 3:12

Listen

Listening is a powerful act of love. We slow down and engage in meaningful conversations, asking questions and showing genuine care.

“A fool does not delight in understanding, but only wants to show off his opinions… The one who gives an answer before he listens—this is foolishness and disgrace for him.” Proverbs 18:2, 13

Discern

As conversations unfold, we seek clarity in navigating them, praying for insight into how the Holy Spirit is at work. We abide in Him and follow his lead.

“Counsel in a man’s heart is deep water; but a man of understanding draws it out.” – Proverbs 20:5

Respond

In obedience, we respond through prayer, encouraging them with Scripture, serving them in tangible ways, sharing the Gospel, or all of the above.

“Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. Your speech should always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person.” Colossians 4:5-6
